2021 was, to say the least, part of an interesting year of months. The COVID-19 pandemic put a damper on many activities where we would normally be together and interacting.
Pandemic or no, the previous Neuse River district derby team was not content to just skip a year. Nope… not happy at all. Instead, we doubled down and invited two other districts to participate with us in the first-ever VIRTUAL Invitational Pinewood Derby!!
Cub Scout Packs from Impeesa and Awahili districts joined Neuse River, and Pack 365 allowed us to use their YouTube channel to live-stream the event for hundreds to watch from the safety of their homes.
