Volunteer Opportunities
To help provide new service opportunities and to raise the visibility of Scouts giving community service within the North Star District, we encourage the use of JustServe.org as an online resource for finding community service opportunities as well as posting volunteer projects that create opportunities for community service.
For example, a prospective Eagle Scout who needs volunteers to lead and organize for his or her service project may enlist troop members as well as ask for volunteers to help by posting a project listing on JustServe.org. Postings should clearly identify the beneficiary organization, with the Eagle Scout candidate listed as the primary contact for the project.
Den, pack, patrol, troop, crew and ship leaders can also use JustServe.org to find appropriate community service projects for Scout participation. The more Scouts and Scouters posting and participating in service, the better our communities will become.
