Camping Resources
North Carolina has some of the best outdoors camping and trails in the country, from lakes and rivers to mountains and beaches. Below are some of our favorite camping, hiking, biking, canoeing/kayaking and rappelling locations in the area. William B. Umstead State Park
Most of the camping is on the Glenwood Avenue side (8801 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27617), but there are also some campsites on the Crabtree Lake side, off I-40 at 2100 N. Harrison Ave., Cary, 27513
Falls Lake State Park has multiple group camping sites, including:
